Latest Cov19 figures

The Canary Islands are reporting 31 new outbreaks, in addition to the 66 outbreaks that have been open for fifteen days, plus thirty more outbreaks under follow-up, although they are about to close as there are no new cases in recent weeks.

Of the new outbreaks, 30 are in the province of Las Palmas (of them two in Fuerteventura) and one in the province of Tenerife with one in Granadilla (Tenerife) that involves five people with a deceased. In El Hierro, the epidemiological link of 21 cases is studied to determine if they are still one or more outbreaks.

The profile of the outbreaks has been modified this week where there has been no outbreak linked to nightlife or party venues, so the size of the outbreaks and of the contacts in follow-up low. Family / friends outbreaks linked to encounters in homes without protection measures (masks, distances and hand washing) continue to be the protagonists and increase the contagion in labor outbreaks.

📌New outbreaks in general have fewer people involved (between 4 and 9, the average being five) and are more related to the family environment with some ramification in the workplace.

📌There is an outbreak of five people linked to a funeral in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

📌An outbreak of 37 people in a residence for people from a vulnerable group.

📌Of the new ones, two have to do with the arrivals of patera (one in Fuerteventura with 12 cases and another in Agüimes with 3 cases).

📍EMPLOYMENT in PV: This new notification of outbreaks highlights a work / family outbreak in Puerto del Rosario with 56 people under follow-up
