 It doesn't seem to be possible for Fimax on 13th April therefore, a new potential date of 25th May 2022 is now being discussed!

Festivities of San Diego de Alcalá in the Plaza Tran Tran

 On Thursday 11th the program begins with children's activities starting at 5:30 p.m. On Friday the 12th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. commemoration of World Diabetes Day organized by the AMADI Association and from 7:00 p.m. meeting of children's choreographic groups and live voices with the Datana and 5 senses academies. On Saturday the 13th, the main day of the festivities is celebrated with the solemn religious function in honor of San Diego de Alcalá with the Canarian mass of the Parranda Manitaga starting at 7:00 p.m. At 9:00 p.m., there is a night of versions with the performances of 'Better with drinks' from Fuerteventura and 'Tio Matt' from Gran Canaria. On Sunday the 14th, the programming concludes with the afternoon for the elderly with the Parranda Muelle Nuevo and the performance of Juan el chapa starting at 7:00 p.m. The events, organized by the Department of Celebrations managed by Mayka Marrero, have been planned within the framework of the current limitations due to the pandemic.

Fishing Fair 2022

 Tuineje presents its sporting events for 2022 with the return of the Deep Sea Fishing Open

• The City Council of Tuineje has presented in Fitur the main sporting events of this year

The Covid pandemic has disrupted the agenda of major events, but the progress of vaccination and the capacity control regulations are allowing it to be resumed. Thus, Tuineje has presented at the Fitur International Tourism Fair the posters of the five major sporting events that the municipality will host this year 2022.

The return of the International Deep-Sea Fishing Open stands out, with its twenty-sixth edition to be held from September 7 to 10. "We are especially excited to present an event like the Fishing Open, which is deeply rooted in Gran Tarajal and has international repercussions and participation," highlights the Mayor Esther Hernández, who adds that "Tuineje has become a benchmark for the quality of sporting events, which is also a tourist attraction".

The Councilor for Sports, Christian Cabrera, has advanced the dates on which the major sporting events of the municipality will be held "organized between the Tuineje City Council and different clubs and companies, which are committed to competitions that stand out for their high level of participation , the performance of the athletes themselves and the natural environment in which they perform".

The Trail Cuchillos de Vigán will be the first "great event" of the year, with a test organized by the City Council and Esencia, which runs through a unique spot and will be held on March 26. Registrations can be made through www.tripasioneventos.com

On April 23, the obstacle course `Bestial Race´ is held in Las Playitas. And from September 25 to October 2 the Half Marathon des Sables Fuerteventura.

On May 28, the Gran Tarajal Night Race returns in its ninth edition organized by the City Council and Esencia, with the sponsorship of Playitas Resort. The race will be held on May 28.

The third edition of the Gran Tarajal Triathlon has July 9 as the date marked on the calendar of sporting events. A test in which participants are measured in sprint distance. The event is organized by the City Council of Tuineje and Esencia.

The IX Playitas Resort – Gran Tarajal Swim Crossing, with a distance of 5 kilometers, will take place on August 27, 2022. Registration for the test will open on June 10. A valid competition for the Canary Open Water Cup. The event is organized by the City Council of Tuineje and Fuerte Brazada with the collaboration of the Cabildo de Fuerteventura and Playitas Resort.

TV Film Crew

 Incase any owners are wondering what was going on at Vista Mar on Wednesday the 12th of January, a TV film crew from a UK channel called "A Place in the Sun",were filming a property that is for sale and the surrounding area on VM, for one of their program's, to be shown sometime in the near future! 

New gym equipment

 A rowing machine and some bar bell weights have now been installed in the gymnasium, Please treat them with respect and may I remind you that the equipment is for the gym, not for personal use at home!

It will take a few days before the rowing machine has power.

Pool Court Case

 A message from VM President:

Good afternoon, there is good news; Finally, Francisco de Sales, the one who took € 5,216.25 from the pool pump, has paid off the debt with the Community and no longer owes us a penny.

I am going to notify the Court asking that the witnesses (Margarita and Paul) not have to go on November 9.
