In the case of dry cleaners, the same sources explain that it is "essential in the work and maintenance of hospitals and other care centers."

Yes, food distribution is considered an essential service and the arrival of basic products is coordinated with distribution platforms.

Can I go see my family member / friend / neighbor at their home?

No. It is recommended not to leave home to visit friends either, since this way the virus would spread and it is not an assumption that it falls within the exceptions of mobility.

But please don't stop talking to your loved ones on the phone, social networks, messages or video calls.

They are closed.

Press kiosks will also remain open.

Can I go to mass and Can you attend a wake/funeral?

Attendance at places of worship and civil and religious ceremonies, including funerals, are conditioned on the adoption of organizational measures consisting of avoiding crowds of people, depending on the dimensions and characteristics of the places, in such a way as to guarantee attendees the possibility of respecting the distance between them of at least one meter.

Despite this, the Episcopal Conference recommends staying home and following the Eucharist on television or radio.

Will the shopping centers be open?

No, only those dedicated exclusively to food, hygiene or cleaning products or the spaces of the shopping centers dedicated to these products.

Can stores in general open?

No. All establishments considered non-essential are closed.

Can I buy food online?

Yes. The decree allows the delivery of food to your home and does not restrict online commerce, telephone or postal mailings.

I have a medical appointment. Can I go?

If it is not urgent, better postpone it. Although going to the doctor is one of the assumptions by which they are allowed to go outside, it is urged to release medical resources for those who need it most.

Does public transport work?

Yes. Transport services with consideration of public service and depending on the autonomous communities, maintain all their offer.

However, the power of both the minister and the competent regional and local authorities is reserved to "establish a percentage reduction in services, and other specific conditions of provision, if the health situation so advises."

And the rest of transports?

Those of medium distance remain at 50%. Regarding transfers between the Peninsula and non-peninsular territories and islands, "specific criteria" will be established.

Can I leave the city I am in?

The recommendation is not to leave home and avoid traveling. These are only allowed for basic necessities, such as moving to another city to take care of a dependent person, but not to go to our vacation residence, the beach or the mountains.

How long will this last?

At the moment these measures are in force for 15 days, although they may be "extended with the authorization of Congress if necessary".

The duration of the crisis is unknown. So for the time being, be patient and follow the authorities' recommendations to help stop the spread of the virus.

Can I be fined if I miss these rules?

Yes. Failure to comply or resistance to the orders of the competent authorities in the state of alarm will be punished in accordance with the Laws, in the terms established in article 10 of Organic Law 4/1981, of June 5.
