The Government will initiate the de-escalation of confinement due to the coronavirus in the Canary Islands. This is reflected in a work plan of the Ministry of Health to which national media have had access. It is a document that proposes to convert the Canary archipelago into a kind of pilot test before making decisions that affect the whole of Spain, especially the peninsula .
Moncloa has several scenarios on the table that, in practically all cases, would go through a third request for an extension of the state of alarm next week. The roadmap of the transition strategy committee involves taking decisions wisely and gradually based on the data and the opinion of the experts.
The start of the de-escalation in the Canary Islands, according to the plans of the Executive, could start to run in the middle of next week. Minors, with permission to go for a walk accompanied by an adult, and those who want to do outdoor sports, will be the first to start walking on the street normally. Of course, they will always have to wear protective masks.
