Gran Tarajal already has programming to celebrate its carnivals. The mayoress of Tuineje, Esther Hernández, and the councilor for Celebrations, Mayka Marrero, have presented on the morning of this Monday, February 13, the poster and the program of the Carnival 2023 of Gran Tarajal with the allegory 'La India', which It will take place from March 2 to 12 with the usual galas and performances. The presentation of the Carnival will take place on Saturday, February 25 on the avenue at 8:30 p.m.
The carnival proclamation will take place on Thursday, March 2 at 8:30 p.m. at the Gran Tarajal fairgrounds by 'Meluche', and to receive the carnival in the best way, you can then enjoy the meeting of choreographic groups and troupes of the municipality such as Batucada Timbaye, Ballet Stylo, Comparsa Kirumba, Diamonds, Comparsa Grimanesa, Súper Yeyas, Premium SS, Five Senses Academy and Laura Sardeña Dance Academy.
On Friday, March 3, starting at 9:00 p.m., there will be a murga meeting with the opening by the children's murga Las Pizpiretas, the new murga from the municipality Las Chichifladas, the Cucas Libres, and the murgas from Puerto del Rosario Los Quintillos.com and murga Las Zarandajas, who will compete for the prize for best lyrics. At its end, a festival will be held by the Nuevo Klan orchestra
The Carnival by day will take place next Saturday, March 4, starting at 12:30 p.m., with performances by the groups Mambo Latino, Vamos y la liamos, Nuevo Klan, Mejor con Copas, and the Del Bueno orchestra. In addition, it will also feature a special performance by Edwin Rivera with the La Sabrosa orchestra, Bomba Orchestra, Kandela and DJ Pedro Cabrera.
The Children's Gala will be on Sunday, March 5 from 5:00 p.m. with the performance of the choreographic groups of the municipality. On Tuesday, March 7, the Senior Gala will take place at the Gran Tarajal Senior Center and on Wednesday, March 8, the family gala with the participation of carnival groups.
On Thursday, March 9, at 9:00 p.m., the Drag Queen Gala will be held, with the participation of the best Drags from the Canary Islands, accompanied by performances by comparsas, choreographic groups and murgas. The Gala for the Election of the Adult Queen will be held on Friday, March 10, starting at 9:00 p.m., where the different carnival groups of the municipality will also perform, and the stellar performance of Kike Pérez. At the end, the festival will be held with the Kandela group.
On Saturday, March 11, the Gran Tarajal Carnival Arena will take place, which will begin at 5:30 p.m., with the departure from the García Blairzy School to the Fairgrounds, where the festival will begin at 9:00 p.m. hours, with performances by the Jacomar Orchestra, Rikabanda Orchestra, Nuevo Klan and La Sabrosa.
The Carnival will come to an end with the parade of the Sardine as a closing down the avenue of Gran Tarajal with the carnival groups starting at 6:00 p.m.
