Power Cut Nov 3rd

As Endesa has already reported, Red Eléctrica has rescheduled for the early morning of November 3 a temporary interruption of electricity supply, leaving the Gran Tarajal 66 kV and Matas Blancas 66 kV substations, located in the south of Fuerteventura, without voltage, in order to to carry out major maintenance works on the energy transmission network to guarantee security of supply.

The supply interruption will be approximately from 00.00 hours to 3.00 hours. Both the date and the time slot have been consulted with the administrations of the affected area and it implies the rescheduling of work initially planned for October 30.

The fact that the configuration of the transmission network in the south of Fuerteventura is currently in a simple 66 kV circuit means that any unavailability of the line, whether scheduled or unexpected, produces significant incidents in the Matas Blancas substations and/or Great Tarajal.

The company apologizes for any inconvenience it may eventually cause with this maintenance action on the transport network.

For his part, the Councilor for Commerce, Cristofer Jaime, has stressed "the high economic impact that this festival has on the commerce of the municipality, which is a stimulus for the commercial fabric due to the high influx of public that is expected in the two days of festival".
